Level 42 - Almost There (live) - 1982

Level 42 - Almost There
This excellent piece is from Level 42's self-titled debut album Level 42 (1981). They started out as an outstanding jazz/funk/rock fusion group, but unfortunately later regressed to producing a more wider pop orientated music. And although they made great music on later albums, such as True Colours (1984) and Running in the Family (1987), it is this first album that, in my opinion, stands out as Level 42's finest musical expression. The early setup of the group consisted of: - Mark King -- Bass, Vocals, Percussion - Mike Lindup -- Minimoog, Acoustic/Electric Pianos, Vocals, Percussion - Boon Gould -- Guitars - Phil Gould -- Drums, Glockenspiel, Timbales, Backing Vocals, Percussion Tracks 1. "Turn It On" (Badarou, Gould, King) -- 5:36 2. "43" (King)" -- 7:02 3. "Why Are You" Leaving?" (Gould, Lindup) -- 4:34 4. "Almost There" (Gould, Gould, King) -- 5:42 5. "Heathrow" (Badarou) -- 4:43 6. "Love Games" (Gould, King) -- 7:25 7. "Dune Tune" (King) -- 4:50 8. "Starchild" (Badarou, Gould, King) -- 6:42
