Ho letto Tana per la bambina dai capelli a ombrellone, romanzo di Monica Viola pubblicato in rete da Vibrisselibri, e sono arrivato alla fine senza mai essermi chiesto se quello che stessi leggendo fosse vero o meno. Bene, mi sono sentito soddisfatto. Un lettore è felice quando vive nel tempo del libro, col suo respiro, nel suo altrove. Mi sarei potuto arrovellare: quella bambina che racconta in prima persona è lautrice?; quelle che racconta sono balle o verità?; davvero è stata costretta a soddisfare le voglie sessuali dei fratelli maggiori? Ho fatto suonare un campanello d'allarme. Sì, cè un tema forte in questo romanzo, ma non è il centro della narrazione, anzi: per come viene trattato sembra un sasso uguale agli altri. Scandalo, perversione, tabù, incesto: roba dura, materia narrativa scottante, ma che appartiene ad altri scrittori. La priorità di quest'opera è l'urgenza di raccontare.

This excellent piece is from Level 42's self-titled debut album Level 42 (1981). They started out as an outstanding jazz/funk/rock fusion group, but unfortunately later regressed to producing a more wider pop orientated music. And although they made great music on later albums, such as True Colours (1984) and Running in the Family (1987), it is this first album that, in my opinion, stands out as Level 42's finest musical expression.
